Miss Suzanne Antonelli

As Intervention Facilitator at Newtown Elementary, my mission is to collaborated with teachers and staff to find what works for our students. Every student learns at a different pace and in a different way. Together we need to find what works best for your child through interventions and strategies to help them reach success.
My role focuses on both academic and behavioral interventions. Meeting with teachers and working with students to develop positive attitudes, strong learner skills, and simply how to navigate throughout the school day is a big part of what I do each day at Newtown.

- Collaborating with students, teachers and families.
- Overseeing student interventions.
- Working with my team to analyze data to monitor student progress.
- Meeting with teachers to create plans for student success related to academics and behavior.
- Conducting 504 evaluations and monitoring all students with 504 Service Agreements.
- Facilitating/scheduling meetings with my awesome team to talk about kids progress both strengths and needs.
- Answering questions related to evaluations.
- Teaming up with Mrs. Cook, school counselor to organize the 6th Grade Leadership Program. One aspect of the program starts the mentoring process at NES. Our mentor th graders are matched up with K, 1st, and 2nd grade students. Each student meets with their mentee once a week for @15 minutes.
