Teacher Message

Dear Students and Parents!
As summer begins to wind down, we look forward, with excitement, to the 2024-2025 school year.  I offer a warm welcome to those who are new to NES or our classroom.  To those familiar faces...Welcome Back!  I have been in Council Rock School District for 22 years and this is my 18th year at NES. I began my teaching career in kindergarten and have done second grade inclusion, but most of my time has been spent in the resource classroom. I hope that you had an amazing summer filled with fun, relaxation, and many happy memories made with family and friends.  This summer, I spent quality time with my family, caught up on some good reading, did projects around the house, and enjoyed a beach vacation in North Carolina.  I look forward to hearing more details about your summer activities soon.

Each new school year is a fresh start.  While we take the lessons of the past with us, we also have opportunities to revisit or set new goals and put forth our best effort to achieve them.  Yes, there may be challenges along the way, but please know that we are a TEAM in B-6.  Each one of us is a teacher in our classroom, modeling good citizenship and sharing ideas, knowledge, and opinions.  Of course, we are learners, too, listening to and learning from others' actions, thoughts, and ideas. Our recipe for success requires teamwork, patience, and persistence, as we support one another along the way!  In addition, a positive home-school connection that provides appropriate support and open communication is essential to promoting a productive and enjoyable school experience for all.  I look forward to working together and facilitating your journey to discover the tools and strategies that will help you become a successful, lifelong learner!

Although the majority of your tasks will be paper and pencil, we will use Google Classroom for some of your learning & assignments this year, so once this is set up, I will be inviting you to join our classroom.  Your Chrome book along with hands-on tools and manipulatives will be used for instruction, as well.

Our Meet & Greet at NES will be on August 29th.  Please stop by to say hello between 2:30 - 3:30 PM

Back to School Night:  I will provide information on the date and time for my Resource Room session once it is set.

Until then, enjoy the remaining days of summer!  See you soon!

Warm Regards,

Ms. Hoffmann
