Special Writer's Notebook Assignment

• Dear Families,

  Successful writers do their best writing about things they know about and care about. Please help your child prepare for a year as a successful writer. Take time to discuss your child’s favorite things, best memories, most precious people in their life, and things that they dream of for the future. Then use those ideas to cover the outside of one of the marble composition notebooks. Use photographs, stickers, magazine cut-outs, or any other memorabilia to help inspire the developing writer in your child. Work together with your child so that they know why each item is included on the notebook. When you finish covering it with decorations, perhaps cover it with clear contact paper or packing tape so that your hard work is protected and it will last. Notebooks are due by Friday, September 16th.
