Dear Parents,

As a second grader, we will be spending a lot of time writing about things that they love and know a lot about.  It is important to discuss these topics with your child, such as their favorite things, special memories, topics they are passionate about, important people in their lives, and dreams for their future.  Then, use those ideas to cover the outside cover of one of their marble composition books.  You can use pictures, magazine cut outs, drawings, stickers, etc.  When you finish covering it with decorations, perhaps cover it with clear contact paper or packing tape so that your hard work is protected and it will last. Notebooks are due by Friday, September 16th.  Thank you for making this a positive start to their writing this year!
