WELCOME

Dear First Grade Lovebugs and Families, 

Welcome to First Grade! My name is Mrs. Malgieri and I am so excited to get to know both students and families! This will be my third year teaching at Newtown Elementary School! Prior to my time in Council Rock, I taught at Hatboro-Horsham School District and was a substitute teacher at Abington School District.  

In May of 2016, I graduated from Holy Family University with my  undergraduate degree in Psychology. I went on to earn my Master’s Degree and teaching credentials from Gwynedd Mercy University in 2018. Currently, I am back in school earning a Master’s Degree in Special Education. When I am not at school I enjoy playing with my four year old daughter Mackenzie, going on family bike rides, and baking!  I am also expecting my second daughter coming soon! 

Throughout the school year, it is very important to me that every one of my students feels as if they are an important and valued member of our class. I strive to implement authentic learning experiences, responsive instruction, and active home-school communication. I am committed to making your student’s first grade  year a great one! This being said, I look forward to working together to ensure that your child has a happy and successful 2022-2023 school year!
